The team

Researchers and engineers building empirically grounded recursive self-improvement. The same people who write the theory, build the systems, and take them into the field.

─ Leadership
Jen Dodgson
CEO

Jen Dodgson

Jen has been working on recursive self-improvement since 2020, having written her PhD thesis on public opinion analysis using machine learning algorithms. Since then she has focused on AI for hypothesis generation and testing, as well as historical forensic linguistics — and taking care of the shrimp in the office fishtank.

LinkedIn
Elijah Ng
CTO

Elijah Ng

Elijah works across machine learning research and systems engineering. He has developed self-training systems, deployed vision and language models, and worked on PyTorch internals and custom GPU kernels to make model training and inference faster and more memory-efficient. He also cooks and plays Magic: The Gathering; so far, only the latter has become a software project.

Michael Joedhitya
Interpretability & Benchmarking Researcher

Michael Joedhitya

Michael is an enthusiast of cloud systems and AI, driven by constant curiosity about where machine learning is headed. He loves getting hands-on with benchmarking to see how models truly perform in real-world environments. Beyond tech, he simply enjoys picking up new things, whether it's diving into another piece of infrastructure or exploring entirely different fields.

David Woodside
R&D Systems Engineer

David Woodside

David Woodside is a Hardware & Systems Engineer at Eigenform. He works at the boundary between research and physical engineering, turning unusual technical ideas into systems that can actually be built, tested, and deployed.

His work spans embedded computing, electronics, RF, mechanical integration, and prototyping. At Eigenform he leads hardware development for a rugged edge-computing platform that runs the company’s models locally in the field, and owns technical procurement, fabrication, and supplier coordination. He also contributes to the Galassia-5 satellite programme and holds a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
